The curriculum for the DL101PCT course consists of fourteen modules, including “What is the PCT?”, Reasons for Using the PCT, Preparing a PCT Application, Filing a PCT Application, PCT E-Services, International Search Report and Written Opinion of the International Searching Authority, International Publication, Special Procedures in the International Phase, Third-Party Access to PCT Application Files, and Overview of the PCT.

ONPI Promotes Information on Intellectual Property

The World Intellectual Property Organization (ONPI) provides information through various courses on copyright, related rights, trademarks, patents, geographical indications, and industrial designs (DL-001).

This free online course, which covers the fundamentals of intellectual property (IP), aims to provide participants with a basic understanding of the subject while familiarizing them with current issues affecting the field of IP, such as plant varieties, unfair competition, IP enforcement, and emerging IP-related issues.

Each of the 12 modules that make up the DL-001 course includes self-assessment tools to help participants evaluate their level of knowledge and their ability to apply the fundamental concepts and information taught throughout the course. The course is also designed to facilitate the gradual expansion and assimilation of general concepts related to intellectual property.

Registration is open through November 30, and the final course will be held on December 15 of this year, according to WIPO's website.
